Brianna Finch

Brianna Finch will begin her first season at the helm of the New Mexico Highlands women’s basketball team after being named head coach by athletic director Jeff Falkner on July 3, 2014.

Brianna will take over as women's basketball coach after more than a decade of coaching experience at the junior college and NCAA levels as well as spending time overseas. Last season, she was the head coach of the Lemvig Basketball Club in Denmark. Finch was in charge of all aspects of the club, including the professional team and the Under-18 Lemvig squad.

Finch also served as head coach at Griffith College in Dublin, Ireland, for the 2006-2007 season.

Prior to being an assistant from 2011-2013 at Salt Lake Community College, where she also served as an academic advisor and handled correspondence between the players and four-year institutions, Finch was the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at UC Irvine. While with the Anteaters, she was in charge of post player development and also helped in individual player workouts.

Finch played collegiately for Portland before transferring to Sonoma State, where she graduated with Bachelor of Art's degree in business administration and marketing in 2002. After graduation, she spent time as an assistant coach at Santa Rosa Junior College (2002-2004), Menlo College (2005-2006) and UC San Diego (2007-08).

Brianna and her fiancé, Brian, currently reside in Sacramento, California.
