The NMHU Cowgirls grounded the Eagles of Chadron State College by a final score of 83-68 on 1/14. The Cowgirls would lead most of the game en route to their sixth win of the season. The Cowgirls would finish the night shooting 53% from the field and an impressive 73% from the free throw line for the night. With the win, the Cowgirls improve to 6-11 on the season and 3-8 in RMAC play.
Alyssa Lopez had a great game for the Cowgirls as she led all scorers with 24 points. Lopez would add in two rebounds to her night's totals.
Ashley Godfrey would finish the night with 15 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
China Smith would round out the Cowgirls top scorers with 14 points, nine rebounds, one blocked shot and a season high three steals.
The Cowgirls will take the court again on 1/15 as they play host to the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the John A. Wilson Complex.
