The NMHU Cowgirls dropped two games on the road over the weekend. The Cowgirls would fall to nationally ranked powerhouse #3 Fort Lewis College 66-33 on 1/7 and would then fall to the Grizzlies of Adams State College 82-70 on 1/8. The Cowgirls are now 5-11 on the season and 2-8 in RMAC play.
Briana Gholston would finish the weekend scoring 20 points for the Cowgirls. Gholston would add in six rebounds, four assists and three steals to her weekend totals.
Alyssa Lopez would also score 20 points for the Cowgirls over the weekend. Lopez would also add in seven rebounds, two assists, one blocked
shot and two steals to her weekend production.
The Cowgirls will look to regroup after their two road losses as they play host to the Eagles of Chadron State College on 1/14 in the John A. Wilson Complex in Las Vegas, N.M.
