Cleveland, Ohio - Cowboy defensive back
Abdul Kanneh made his pro tryout at the Cleveland Brown's rookie mini-camp payoff this past weekend (May 10-12). Kanneh just signed a contract with the Browns, on Monday, after impressing them enough at the mini-camp tryout.
Kanneh led the team in 2012 with six interceptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns. His 90 yard pick-six at NCAA DI opponent Southern Utah University was one of the Cowboy highlights of the season. He was also a factor on special teams, returning eight kickoffs for 140 yards and a punt for 49.
Kanneh posted similarly impressive stats for the Cowboys in the 2011 season. He was more involved on special teams, netting 551 total yards in the return game. The London, England native was just as solid on defense as well with three interceptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Kanneh joins former teammate
Jordan Campbell as Cowboy Football alums in the National Football League.
The Cowboys had a great season in 2012, finishing third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with an 8-3 record. Head Coach
Eric Young is looking to continue the Cowboys' bid for a conference title in 2013.
