Cowboys drop road game at Western State, 56-7

Box Score GUNNISON, COLO. – The Cowboys string of losses continues as they fell to Western State 56-7.  Cowboys record falls to 0-7, 0-5 RMAC.
 
The Mountaineers returned the ball for 63 yards to start the game. This was a sign that the Cowboys were going to have a tough day. From that point on, the Cowboys struggled to get their drives going, while the Mountaineers were scoring.
 
At the end of the first half, the score was 42-0 Mountaineers.
 
In the second half, the Cowboys would slow down Western State's offensive attack and hold them to two touchdowns in the half.
 
The Cowboys would take advantage of a punt return fumble, late in the third quarter, and score their lone touchdown of the game. The Cowboys would travel 44 yards down the field and score on a 2-yard rushing touchdown from Sir. Yarbrough.
