Cowgirls Can't Catch the Roadrunners

Box Score Denver, Colo.- The New Mexico Highlands University Women's soccer played Metropolitan State University Denver (4-2-4). This is the first time the Cowgirls played the Roadrunners this season, unfortunately the girls lost this game 3-1.
 
From the start of the match the Cowgirls had six consecutive shots, unfortunately none of them saw the goal. Half of the shots were from Sophmore Mallory Bostic the other three came from Salina Lucero, Ashley Simons, and Nicole Millar. Mallory Bostic scored the first goal of the game (her 7th goal of the season) with no assist after a foul was called just outside of the box. 5 minutes after Bostic's goal Metro's Noemy Polanco scored off a header with an great corner assist from McKeinzi Rieber. NMHU had 4 more shots if the first half for a total of 10, while Metro had 7.

Only a minute into the second half Salina Lucero started had an oppertunity to score but couldn't get the shot by the keeper. The Cowgirls had 10 more shots in after that, unfortunately none of them could see the back of the net. Metro managed 7 shots and 2 goals int he second half. The first goal of this half was scored by Denver's Elise Boisnard. Denver's Bry Sanchez scored the final goal of the game with a broken play assisted by Reigina Banks and Korena Perales. Ending the game 301.
 
The Cowgirls play again on Sunday at 1PM (11/1/15) against Regis Rangers as they try to squeeze into the playoffs. Live stats will be available.
