Cowboys lose to Runnin' Rebels

Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.V.- The Cowboys traveled to the second Las Vegas to play UNLV in an exhibition game Monday night. After keeping the score close in the first 9 minutes of the game, the Runnin' Rebles ran away with the game 107-45.
 
The Cowboy would win the tip against the Mountain West Division 1 opponent but could not convert.  The Rebel's scored first on a jumper by Seagears. Jonathan Mines wanted make sure the Cowboys had at least one lead in the game as a minute later he would hit a three to give the Cowboys the 3-2 lead. Unfortunately the Cowboys would get close but would not regain another lead.
 
The Rebels would then go on a 9-0 run to regain the lead and go up seven with 15:53 in the first half. The Cowboys would go on a small run to make it 13-10 Rebel run going it to the under 12 media timeout.
 
Coming out of the time out the Rebels would use a dunk and a three by Zimmerman offensively to get the crown into the game. The Rebels would use the last 10:32 to go on a 47-4 run to end the half. Going into the locker room the Runnin' Rebels lead 60-14.
 
The second half would not get much better for the Cowboys. In the first 4:04 of the half the Runnin' Rebels would outscore the Cowboys 11-6. In the next round of the game the Cowboy's Marlon Johnson would have a monstrous dunk, but the Rebels would barely win the round 8-7.
 
The Runnin' Rebels would continue to control the pace and the game as the game went final 107-45.

The Cowboys will return to action on Thursday to face another Mountain West team, Wyoming.  Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Laramie, Wyoming. Live stats and video will be available.
