In the second quarter, freshman
Ayida Peters gets herself to the free line but could only knock down one of two. To help your Cowgirls Traynham hit a triple cut the deficit to only 12, but after that the Mountaineers defensive was too much for the Cowgirls. The Cowgirls go into the half down 18. The halftime score was 32-14 Mountaineers
In the third quarter, senior
Miranda Martinez got the Cowgirls started with a jumper. Then with four minutes left in the quarter freshman
Kaylani Maiava went to work in the paint with back to back lay-up to help keep your Cowgirls in the game. To finish the quarter, senior
Brittany Brown hit from downtown to lessen the Mountaineers lead.
In the fourth quarter, both team had a hard time putting points on the board until Mountaineer Taylor Long hit one from behind the arc. Then Brown hit a shot to get the Cowgirls going. The Cowgirls weren't able to battle back from this one and lost 63-38
