Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowgirls lost to Chadron State 67-85 as the Cowgirls were unable to slow down the Eagles in the paint. The Cowgirls' record is now 2-12, 0-10 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

With a three pointer by
Michelle Traynham, the Cowgirls would start with a 5-3 lead. After a made jumper by
Michelle Tapia, the Eagles' would go on a 16-4 run to end the first quarter up 21-11.

Coming out for the second quarter, junior
Giulia Simioni would drain a couple of three pointers to shrink the Eagles lead. The Cowgirls would try and cut at the lead but the Eagles' Maka Daysh would present a constant struggle for the Cowgirls. She would have 18 of her 29 points in the first half.

The third quarter would be the Cowgirls' quarter, as they would outscore the Eagles 22-18 in the quarter. With 2:38 in the quarter, the Cowgirls would heat up and end the quarter on a 7-2 run.

In the fourth quarter, Simioni would make a layup to cut the deficit to seven with 8:33 left in the game. The Cowgirls would keep fighting but the Eagles presence in the paint was too much to handle. The Eagles would score 12 points in the paint to keep the girls at a distance.
