In the first quarter, the Cowgirls came out hot. Â Sophomore
Michelle Tapia got the girls going with a lay-up. Then following her was leading scorer Senior
Michelle Traynham with three straight shoots from behind the arc.
In the second quarter, Cowgirls had the lead three poi nt when Traynham continued to hit shots to help the Cowgirls lead grow. But Regis fired back hitting some shots of their own from behind the arc and finishing at the free throw line. Regis took the lead at the end of the first half, 40-32
In the third quarter, the Cowgirls battled back with a lay-up from junior
Giulia Simioni, but Regis answered back with a jumper. The Cowgirls were stiff up until 5:40 point left in the quarter when Maiava drained a three to get the Cowgirls going again. Traynham would then hit another trey to get the lead down to three, but Regis regained a six point lead at the end of the third.
In the fourth quarter, Regis came out with a trey to start but Traynham would answer back with her five three of the game to knock the lead back down to single digits. With 6:13 Maiava helped knock the Rangerett's lead down to four making it a possible win. Regis battled back and had two straight lay-up to bring their lead back up to eight. The cowgirls tried to battle back but Regis would take home the dub, 71-62
