First Half: The Mountain Lions came out hot as Megan O'Driscoll scored the first goal of the game within the first four minutes. The Cowgirls looked to fire back quickly as Seniors
Samantha Mendez and
Anyssa Dagnino both took cracks at the goal. However, goalie Grace Ramsden was not giving an inch and was able to step in front of both shots to keep the score at 1-0. Freshmen Katerthine Scott was busy shortly after as the Mountain Lions were able to put up four straight shots. Scott hung tough though, and did not allow a goal. The teams finished the first half with almost the same amount of shots. The Mountain Lions took 8 shots, and the Cowgirls finished with 7 shots. The score at the end of the first half was 1-0, Mountain Lions.

Second Half: Senior
Danielle Acuna got the second half started off with a shot, but Ramsden did not let it slip through. Next, it was Junior
Emily Ortiz, who took her crack at the goal, but she could not send it home. The Mountain Lions were threatening to score, but Scott came up with a great save to keep the score at 1-0. Freshmen Danielle Fonseca also tried to get the Cowgirls on board but she could not capitalize as Ramsden came away with another save. The Cowgirls turned up the pressure in the second half, but they could not come away with a goal. The Cowgirls outshot the Mountain Lions 16-13 for the game, but could not find the back of the net.
