Las Vegas, NM- The New Mexico Highlands University Women's Basketball team will await the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Hardrockers on December 30th at 1:00 p.m. Your Cowgirls sit at 2-7 overall and 1-5 RMAC.
New Mexico Highlands University Cowgirls:
The Cowgirls hope to snap their losing streak as they take on the Hardrockers. They saw some good things come out of their loss to the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks as Freshmen Ari Baca pitched in a game-high 24 points. She also came down with 6 rebounds to lead the Cowgirls. Sophomore Kaylani Maiava also continued to score the ball well for her team as she finished with 14 points and she came away with 2 steals.
South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Hardrockers:
The Hardrockers will come to Las Vegas carrying a 3-8 overall record. They have had a tough time getting rolling as of late as they are riding a 3 game losing streak. Megan Rohrer is the leading scorer for her team as she scores 9.3 points per game. She is also second on the team in rebounding as she grabs 6.1 rebounds per game. Payton Humpal is also a capable scorer for the Hardrockers as she pitches in 9.2 points per game.
