Cowgirls Take On Westminster at Home

 Las Vegas, NM- The New Mexico Highlands Women's Basketball team will stay home for a game against Westminster College-Utah Griffins on December 9th at 5:00 p.m. then, they will take to the road against the Colorado State University Rams on December 11th at 2:00 p.m. Your Cowgirls sit with a 2-4 overall record, and a 1-2 RMAC record.
 
New Mexico Highlands University Cowgirls: The Cowgirls have played tough competition as of late, resulting in a two game skid. Sophomore Kaylani Maiava has consistently been solid for the Cowgirls. She is the leading scorer, bringing in 14.3 points per game. She is also tied with Junior Mele Tupouata for the lead in rebounds with 5.8 per game. Freshmen Ari Baca also pitches in 8.4 points per game.
 
Westminster College-Utah Griffins: The Griffins come to town with a 3-3 overall record. They are coming in off of a loss to the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. Sydnee Taylor is the leading scorer for the Griffins as she pours in 13 points per game. Denise Gonzalezis second on the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game. Aubrie Vale chips in 8.8 points per game for the Griffins, as well as 4.5 rebounds.
 
Colorado State University Rams: The Rams await the Cowgirls with a 5-3 overall record. Ellen Nystrom is the leading scorer and rebounder for Colorado State as she is averaging 14.6 points, and 6.8 rebounds per game. The offense runs through Nystrom as she also has 36 assists on the year. Elin Gustavsson is the second leading scorer for the Rams as she pitches in 10.6 points per game.
