GOLDEN and LAKEWOOD, Colo.- The Cowgirls will travel to the Denver area to take on the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines and the Cougars of Colorado Christian. They will be looking for their second conference win of the conference season.
The last time the Cowgirls took on the Orediggers the Cowgirls dropped a 67-53 game in the Wilson Complex. In that game the Trynham lead the Cowgirls with 21 points and six rebounds.
Kylee Reibel also chipped in with 14 points. Leading the Orediggers were lead by Courtney Martin with 17 points and nine rebounds. The Orediggers are coming into the weekend with a 16-5 overall record with a RMAC record of 14-3, which is tied for first place. Last weekend the Orediggers went 1-1 with a loss on Friday on 65-61 and rebounded with a win over Chadron St. on Saturday with a 63-46 win.
The Cougars of Colorado Christian are coming in with a 15-6 overall record and 12-5 RMAC record. Last time the Cowgirls faced the Cougars the Cougars took the game in Las Vegas by a score of 82-59. The Cowgirls were once again lead by Traynham with 10 points while
Michelle Tapia had 10 and seven. Kate Louthan had 19 and eight for the Cougars. Ali Meyer and Alex Nelson each chipped in 12. Last weekend the Cougars went 1-1. On Friday they downed Chadron St. 85-77 while Regis beat the Cougars for the Rangers' ninth straight win.
