Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowgirls were in another tight game tonight against new RMAC foe Westminster. The Cowgirls would battle til the end but the Griffins would be too much and would take the game by a score of 75-68.

The Griffins would take the early lead after going on a 9-2 run over the first three minutes of the game. At the 6:14 mark the Cowgirls would be down 12-5 when they would get it in gear and start a run of their own and go on a 7-0 run to make it a 12-12 game with just 2:52 left to go in the first quarter. The teams would trade baskets until the first quarter ended, Griffins 18, Cowgirls 16.

The Cowgirls would tie the game at 20 with jumpers from
Brittany Brown and
Michelle Traynham. After tying the game, the Griffins would knock down a free throw. Â
Giulia Simioni would come down and knock down a shot from deep to give the Cowgirls the four-point lead with 7:38 left in the first half. Kristy Marques would then extend the Cowgirls lead to six on a nice lay-up. With just six seconds left in the half and trailing 38-37 Simioni would knock down a lap-up to give the Cowgirls the 39-38 lead going into the half.

Traynham would extend Cowgirls lead just 12 seconds into the second half on a great shot from down town. With 6:08 left in the third quarter the Cowgirls and Griffins would be tied at 44 all when the Griffins would go on a 7-2 run to make it a five-point game with 2:26 on the clock in the third quarter. The Griffin's Vale would hit a shot with 52 seconds left in the third to give them the 53-51 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Marquez would get the Cowgirls started with a jumper 15 seconds into the quarter to tie the game at 53 all. With 4:43 left in the game the Cowgirls would be up 65-58. The Griffins were persistent and battled back and went on a 17-3 run to win the game by a score of 75-68.
