Your Cowboys came out ready to play against #12 Orediggers. Within the first three minutes, Senior
Eric Smith helped his team with a pick at the Highlands 20 yard line Then with eight minutes left in the first quarter, Freshman
Blue Thomas grabbed his second interception of the year at the Cowboys 42 yard line. Â Both teams had a hard time getting into the end-zone for the first ten minutes, but then Senior Quarterback
Cody Keith threw a 14 yard pass to Freshman
Paul Kosanovich for the touchdown. The Cowboys went with the field goal kick by Junior
Luke Jones and got the extra point. (7-0 NMHU).Â
After that with three minutes left, Mines offense got themselves to the Highlands 5 yard line and Senior Quarterback Justin Dvorak found Senior Brody Oliver for their first touchdown in the game. Orediggers went for the field goal and got the extra point. As the first quarter ends, the score is tied (7-7).
Within the last two and a half minutes in the second quarter, the Orediggers Justin Dvorak threw a long one to teammate Logan Woish for a quick score. Mines went for the extra point but kicked it wide left off
the goal post. (13-7 CSM). The Cowboys struggled in the third quarter against Mines went into the fourth quarter down 47-7.
As the Cowboys entered the last quarter,
Cody Keith found Sophomore
David McGee for a touchdown. (47-14). As the clock ran down, Colorado School of Mines walked out of Perkins Stadium with a win of 54-14.
