Last weekend the Cowboys lost to Northern Arizona University (3-73). However, Senior Quarterback
Cody Keith had 212 passing yards in the game, completing over 60% of his passes. Senior
Vincent Venegas proved to be among Keith's favorite targets as he hauled in 8 receptions for 77 yards. Freshmen
Ramone Atkins showed big playing ability with 3 catches for 103 yards, averaging a whopping 34.3 yards per catch. Freshmen
Jake Harrelson led the Cowboys with 11 total tackles in the game. The Cowboys will look to build off of these strong points when they travel to take on the Thunder Wolves.
Colorado State University Pueblo:
The Thunder Wolves won against South Dakota Mines (37-10) on September 17
th, 2016, bringing their overall record to 1-2 and 1-1 RMAC. The Thunder Wolves will be waiting for the Cowboys with a balanced attack on offense. Pueblo is averaging 183.7s yard through the air, while averaging 176.3 yards on the ground. They convert with relative ease in the red zone, scoring on 6 out of 7 opportunities.
