The New Mexico Highlands University Women' Basketball team will take to the road for the first time in three weeks as they take on Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets on January 1
st at 5:30 p.m. Then, they set off for a rematch against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Hardrockers on January 7
th at 3:30 p.m. Your Cowgirls sit at 2-8 overall and 1-6 RMAC.

New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls: The Cowgirls will be looking to pick up a win against the Yellow Jackets as they fell to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Hardrockers on December 30
th, 56-81. Freshmen
Ari Baca had a team-high 19 points for the Cowgirls. She was complemented by Sophomore
Brianna Pribble as she pitched in 10 points. The Cowgirls almost had three players in double digit point totals as Sophomore
Kaylani Maiava was just one point away from double figures, finishing with 9 on the night.

Black Hills State University: The Yellow Jackets enter this game with a 3-9 overall record, and a 2-3 record in their last 5 games. They are led by the trio of Kassidy Scott, Sierra Toms, and Rachel Erickson. Scott and Toms both average 8.4 points per game, while Erickson is averages 8.3 points per game. Scott also pulls down just under 5 rebounds per game as well.

South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Hardrockers: The last time the Hardrockers played the Cowgirls they leaned heavily on Anna Haugen as she scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. The Cowgirls also had their hands full with Sami Steffeck as she also scored 13 points and recorded 2 steals. They will look to slow these two down this time around.
