Cowgirls Take Last Road Trip

Las Vegas, NM- The New Mexico Highlands Women's Basketball team play in their last two games this weekend. Friday night (Feb. 24) the Cowgirls play Colorado Mesa University Mavericks in Grand Junction, CO at 5:30 pm. Then on Saturday (Feb. 25) they will play Western State Colorado University Mountaineers in Gunnison, CO at 5:00 pm. The Cowgirls hold an overall record of 2-21 and 1-18 RMAC.
 
NMHU Cowgirls:
The Cowgirls are led by Sophomore Kaylani Maiava, who is averaging 12.5 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. After that Freshman Ari Baca, who is averaging 9.1 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game.
 
Colorado Mesa Mavericks:
The Mavericks hold an overall record of 18-6 and 15-5 RMAC. Colorado Mesa has three players averaging in double-digit points. Leading the Mavericks is Bryanna Adams, who is averaging 16.8 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game.
 
Western State Colorado Mountaineer:
The Mountaineer hold an overall record of 6-18 and 5-15 RMAC. Leading them is Brianna Wilber with 8.5 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game.
