LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team continues RMAC play at home as the Cowgirls host Fort Lewis on Friday and Adams State on Saturday.

THE COWGIRLS COMING INTO THIS WEEK | SEASON STATS
The Cowgirls dropped their RMAC opener Saturday to CSU-Pueblo 76-48 at Wilson Complex. The Cowgirls struggled offensively in the opening quarter (1-for-14 from the field) and fell behind 16-5 to the ThunderWolves. NMHU shot much better the rest of the way, but couldn't slow down CSU-Pueblo. Jordyn Lewis led the Cowgirls with 17 points, going 5-for-11 from 3-point range, while Allyah George had 10 points.

Lewis is seventh in the RMAC in scoring at 15.1 points per game and is second in the conference in 3-pointers per game (2.9) and first in 3-pointers made (23). She's also sixth in the RMAC in minutes played at 34.2 per game. DeAvion Allen is 11th in the RMAC in rebounding at 7.3 rebounds per contest to go along with 6.4 points and a team-best 2.1 assists per contest. George is second on the team in scoring (8.4) and rebounding (5.9).

ABOUT FORT LEWIS | SEASON STATS
The Skyhawks fell to Adams State during their RMAC opener 65-63 on Saturday on the road. Fort Lewis trailed by one with 13 seconds remaining, but couldn't get any closer before hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer to fall by two. Two players had a double-double for the Skyhawks as Jordan Carter had 17 poitns and 11 rebounds while Alyssa Yocky had 11 points and 11 rebounds. It was struggles at the free-throw line that did Fort Lewis in as they went 9-for-19 (47.4 percent) while Adams State went 24-for-31 (77.4).

The Skyhawks are second in the RMAC in scoring at at 74.8 points per game while fourth in points allowed at 58.2 - leading to them leading the RMAC in scoring margin (16.7). Yocky (13.8 ppg) and Carter (13.7) are 10th and 11th, respectively, in scoring in the RMAC while Yocky is ninth in the conference in rebounding (7.3) and fifth in steals (2.2).

ABOUT ADAMS STATE | SEASON STATS
The Grizzlies, who play CSU-Pueblo on Friday, picked up their first win of the season by winning their RMAC opener over Fort Lewis 65-63 on Saturday. Stephanie Ruiz led the team in scoring with 22 points on 8-for-23 shooting to go along with eight rebound. Ki'asha Harris had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Adams State's other games were losses to Rockhurt on the road (82-79 in double overtime) and Willam Jewell on the road (67-52). The Grizzlies did pick up a 72-41 exhibition victory over Northern New Mexico on Nov. 16.

Ruiz leads the Grizzlies in scoring at 19 points per game to go along with 4.3 rebounds per contest. Marshell HOllins is averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds while Harris averaged 8.7 points and a team-best 9.0 rebounds.
