Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands football team will take on Black Hills State at home on Saturday October 19
th at 1 pm in Las Vegas, NM.

BLACK HILLS STATE YELLOW JACKETS: The Yellow Jackets come in to the game with a 2-4 record, which includes RMAC play. Their last game was against South Dakota School of Mines where the Yellow Jackets came out victorious by a score of 48-28. Payten Gilmore led the Yellow Jackets in rushing yards with 134 and also scored three touchdowns. Quarterback Chance Eben had 211 passing yards with two touchdowns. Leading the way on defense with 11 tackles was Josh Gurnaby and Cole Miller gave seven more and also a sack.

NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS: The Cowboys are still searching for their first win of the season as they have shown signs on defense to hold some powerful teams within the conference. Today's match-up will be a great opportunity for the Cowboys. Quarterback
Ramone Atkins will get the start as he threw for 166 yards which included 8 of 21 completions, a touchdown and three interceptions in the Cowboys last outing against CSU-Pueblo.
J'juan Muldrow also threw a touchdown pass which was a 77-yard play to
Emmanuel Lumanze Jr. Barry Edwards,
Malik Brown, and
Trejen Lawrence each tallied 6 total tackles for the Cowboy defense and
Matt Taylor with 5.
