Football take on #14 Colorado Mines

 
Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands Football (0-3, 0-3 RMAC) team will travel to Golden, CO to take on the # 14 Orediggers on the Colorado School of Mines. Kick-Off is scheduled for 12 pm on Saturday.

The Orediggers are currently ranked #13 in the nation as they have not lost a game this season (3-0, 3-0 RMAC). The Ore diggers have rushed for over 720 yards (9 TDs) and thrown for 604 yards (6 TDs) on the season. The Orediggers defense has seemed to take over on every game so far as they have allowed 10.33 points per game for opponents.

John Matocha will look to lead the Orediggers at quarterback as he has played in 2 of 3 games and has completed 43 passes on 52 attempts. Matocha has thrown for 450 yards on the season and has thrown 6 touchdowns. Matocha has also ran for 2 touchdowns and 145 total yards. Cameron Mayberry will run the ball for the Orediggers as he has rushed for 323 yards on the season and also 5 touchdowns. Josh Odom has also rushed for 130 yards and scored a touchdown for the Orediggers. Josh Johnston leads Mines in receiving touchdowns with 4 on the season and 156 total yards. Brandon Farmer (101 yards) and Joe Golter (31 yards) both have 1 receiving touchdown each.

The Cowboys will enter the weekend still hoping to get their first win under their belt. The Cowboys have ran for 269 yards on the season and have thrown for 310 yards and a touchdown.

Kam Mosby leads the Cowboys in rushing yards with 93 and 1 touchdown. James Budgett (49 yards) and Antoine Thompson (28 yards) will also look to help the Cowboys in the run game. J'juan Muldrow leads the receivers in yards with 61 on the season.
