Las Vegas, NM – The New Mexico Highlands Women's basketball team hits the road for the weekend as they take on MSU-Denver on Friday night and Chadron State on Saturday night.
ABOUT MSU-DENVER: The Roadrunners are sitting 1 spot out of making the RMAC tournament with a 10-9 conference record and splitting last weekend as they defeated Black Hills State 64-55 but fell to SD Mines 35-61. On the season, the Roadrunners are averaging 59.2 points per game while shooting 38% from the field and 30% from three while also averaging 35 rebounds and 11.6 assists per game. Bree Wellington leads the way with 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while Mariah Schroeder averages 8.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. You can also look for Morgan Lewis (7.9 points, 6.2 rebounds), and Jaiden Galloway (7.8 points, 4 assists) for the Roadrunners on Friday night.
ABOUT CHADRON STATE: The Eagles come in to the weekend averaging 59 points per game while shooting 37.7% from the field and 30% from three while also averaging 35.5 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game. Taryn Foxen leads the Eagles with 14.9 points while also grabbing 4.2 rebounds per contest.
