LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's soccer team hits the road again this week as it travels to take on UCCS on Thursday and CSU Pueblo on Sunday.

COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
NMHU dropped a pair of road games this week, falling at MSU Denver 5-0 on Friday and dropping a 4-3 contest at Black Hills State on Sunday - a game the Cowgirls trailed 3-0 before three Nitza Rodriguez second-half goals tied it before the Yellow Jackets scored in the final 20 minutes to win 4-3.

On the season, Rodriguez has four goals on the season to lead the team - passing Valeria Baca's three goals for the team lead. Bryana Garcia and Kiarra Hovis have the team's only two assists on the season.

Autumn Stewart made her first start of the season at goalkeeper on Sunday and owns a 4.42 GAA in two games with a .650 save percentage. Karina Vega had started the other eight games on the season and owns a 4.37 GAA and a 0.551 save percentage.

UCCS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
The Mountain Lions are coming off of its second RMAC loss of the season, losing at Colorado School of Mines 2-1 on Sunday. It was a scoreless contest until the 78th and 79th minute when CSM scored back-to-back goals. UCCS cut the lead to 2-1 on a Sydney Lasater goal in the 85th minute, but couldn't find the equalizer.

Tarah Patterson ha been the team's most dangerous weapon as she has five goals and seven assists. Makayla Merlo also has five goals to go along with an assists while Tori Maydrew has four goals and four assists and Jadyn LeDoux has four goals and two assists. In goal, Emily VanGundy has started the previous three games with Sunday's game being the first contest she has allowed a goal (allowed two) and owns a 0.61 GAA and a 0.846 save percentage. Chloe DeShazer started nine of the first 10 games and owned a 1.10 GAA and a 0.677 save percetange. 

CSU PUEBLO HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
The ThunderWolves suffered their first RMAC loss of the season last Thursday as they fell at Regis, 2-1. CSUP allowed two goals in the first 20 minutes of the contest and didn't score until the 82nd minute - a Lainee Vujcich goal assisted by Allyson Spark - but didn't find the game-tying goal in the final eight minutes.

Faith Meredith has been the team's top weapon with four goals and three assists - leading the team in both categories. Vujcich also has three goals while six other players have at least one goal on the season. Nicole Genis has started 10 games this season at keeper and owns a 1.59 GAA and a 0.727 save percentage.
