LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's soccer team returns home to take on a pair of teams receiving votes in the national poll in Colorado Mesa 2 p.m. Friday and Westminster noon Sunday.

COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THIS WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
NMHU lost a pair of road games last week, falling at UCCS 3-0 on Thursday before losing to CSU Pueblo 7-2 on Sunday with Kiarra Hovis and Valeria Baca each scoring a goal for the Cowgirls on Sunday.

On the season, Baca and Nitza Rodriguez lead the team with four goals on the season. Hovis, with an assist Sunday, now has a team-best two on the season.

Katie Scott made her first two starts of the season last week at goalkeeper for NMHU while Karina Vega had started eight games on the season and owns a 4.37 GAA and a 0.551 save percentage.

COLORADO MESA HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
The Mavericks enter Friday on a seven-game winning streak after defeating Colorado Christian 4-0 on Friday and MSU Denver 1-0 on Saturday thanks to a Mira Houck goal in the 22nd minute that CMU made stand.

CMU features the top goal scorer in the conference and No. 6 in the nation in Lila Dere as she has 15 goals on the year to go along with four assists. Mikayla Eccher and Adessa Correa have three goals apiece while Sophia Beames has a team-best seven assists. Chloe Dody has played much of the season at keeper for the Mavs and owns a 0.79 goals against average and a 0.783 save percentage.

WESTMINSTER HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021 SEASON STATS
The Griffins are coming off a pair of wins last weekend, defeating Black Hills State 3-0 at home Friday before also blanking Colorado Christian, 3-0, on Sunday.

Alexa Maple and Aimee Kurfurst lead the team in goals with five apiece while Maple and Rebecca Wheeler each have a team-high four assists. Kelsea Cracroft has started every game at keeper for the Griffins and owns a 0.59 GAA and a 0.829 save percentage in 913 minutes - though Naomi Kehl has also seen time in seven games (345 minutes) and owns a 0.52 GAA and a 0.846 save percentage.
