Cowgirls defeat Northern New Mexico on the road, 64-48

Box Score ESPANOLA, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team went on the road and defeated Northern New Mexico 64-48 on Tuesday.

The Cowgirls (2-3) outscored the Eagles in each of the first three quarters to build a 16-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Ashley Antone paced NMHU with a double-double - racking up 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Sana'a Baker added 15 points off the bench while Miah Rivas had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Cowgirls and NNMC play again - this time in Las Vegas - 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Complex.
