COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowgirls opened RMAC play last week by dropping a pair of road games - falling at Adams State 80-43 on Friday before nearly knocking off a talented CSU Pueblo squad on Saturday, leading in the fourth quarter before falling 68-55.
NMHUÂ continues to be led by its defense as it ranks third in the RMAC in field goal percentage against (34.6 percent) and second in 3-point percentage defense (21.2 percent).Â
Jordyn Lewis continues to lead the team in scoring at 12.9 points per game while adding 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. Sana'a baker is also averaging double figures at 10.1 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per contest.
Maiah Rivas is third on the team in scoring at 8.0 points per game while grabbing 5.0 rebounds and leading the team at 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest.
REGIS HEADING INTO THE WEEKÂ | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Rangers played three games last week (two that counted) in falling at Colorado School of Mines in their RMAC opener 78-70 on Nov. 30 (Tuesday), losing at Air Force 60-46 in an exhibition game on Dec. 2 (Thursday) and defeating South Dakota Mines 75-69 on Saturday at home - outscoring the Hardrockers 42-28 in the second half to rally for the win.
Josey Ryan paces the Rangers at 13.5 points per game to go along with 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals. Tashika Burrell is averaging 10.8 points, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals while Athena Saragoza is averaging 8.6 points and 1.6 assists per contest.
As a team, the Rangers are averaging 65.3 points per game (fifth in the RMAC) while allowing 63.6 (sixth in the conference).
