SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team struggled with turnovers and from the line as the Cowgirls lost to Black Hills State 74-46 on Saturday at the Young Sports & Fitness Center.
NMHU (3-7 overall, 0-4 overall) committed 22 turnovers - leading to 23 points for the Yellow Jackets (5-6, 3-2) - while also going just 12-for-24 from the free throw line.
Sana'a Baker led the team with 14 points and six rebounds while
Ashley Antone added seven points.
The Cowgirls look to bounce back 2 p.m. Sunday at Chadron State.
