LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team opens RMAC play Friday at Adams State before traveling to take on CSU Pueblo on Saturday.

COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowgirls are coming off a pair of wins last week against Northern New Mexico, beating the Eagles 64-48 on Tuesday in Espanola and edging them 42-41 on Saturday at home.

NMHU heads into RMAC play with Jordyn Lewis leading the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game. Maiah Rivas is second on the team with 9.83 points per game to go along with 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals while Sana'a Baker is averaging 9.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

As a team, the Cowgirls are averaging 57.8 points per game while allowing 59.2 points per contest (which ranks sixth in the RMAC). NMHU ranks seventh in the nation in 3-point percentage defense at 18.5 percent (tops in the RMAC).

ADAMS STATE HEADING INTO THE WEEK  | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Grizzlies are coming off a 1-1 performance at the Holiday Inn Airport Thanksgiving Classic in Grand Junction - falling to Montana Western 71-61 on Friday and defeating SAGU American Indian College 91-55 on Saturday.

Laura Gutierrez leads the team in scoring at 11.7 points per game with no other player averaging more than eight points per game. Elaina Watson is averaging 7.6 per game. Kaitlyn Bell leads the team in rebounding at 4.9 boards per game to go along with 6.7 points per contest.

The Grizzlies are third in the RMAC in scoring at 69.3 points per game, but are allowing 70.3 points per contest - 12th in the RMAC. ASU leads the RMAC in turnovers forced per game at 21.7 and is second in shots blocked per game at 3.7 per contest.

CSU PUEBLO HEADING INTO THE WEEK  | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The ThunderWolves since dropping their season opener against No. 10 Texas A&M - Commerce 74-68, they have won four straight - including a win over top-ranked and defending national champion Lubbock Christian 64-56. CSU Pueblo is coming off of blowing out University of the Southwest 97-48 on Friday and Friends University 83-45 on Saturday.

Alisha Davis leads the team in scoring (17), rebounds (9.0), blocks (2.3) and steals (2.7). ro dominguez is averaging 11.4 points per game while connecting on 11 of 24 3-point attempts and grabbing 5.0 boards per game. Tomia Johnson is averaging 9.3 points while Amaya Lewis is averaging 9.2 points per game.

CSU Pueblo leads the RMAC and is 33rd in the country in scoring at 78 points per game while allowing 60 points per game - an 18.0 average margin of victory which is first in the conference and 25th in the country. The ThunderWolves also lead the RMAC in 3-pointers per game (8.3), 3-point percentage (39.7), blocked shots per game (5.7 - 10th in the nation).
