NMHU women's basketball hosts Colorado Christian, MSU Denver this week

LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team returns to action as its hosts Colorado Christian 5 p.m. Friday and MSU Denver 5 p.m. Sunday.

COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowgirls are coming off a pair of losses last week, falling at home to CSU Pueblo 80-59 on Friday and Adams State 64-51 on Saturday.

Jordyn Lewis leads the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game and she enters Friday's contest 14 points shy of 1,000 career collegiate points.

Sana'a Baker is averaging 9.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and a team-best 1.5 blocks, Maiah Rivas is averaging 7.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals.

COLORADO CHRISTIAN HEADING INTO THE WEEK  | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cougars are coming off of playing three games in the last week - losing at Colorado Mesa 78-58 on Saturday, at Adams State 77-51 on Tuesday and at CSU Pueblo 68-42 on Wednesday. 

CCU is led in scoring by Haley Hanson at 9.3 points per game, Lourdes Gonzalez is nearly averaging a double-double at 9.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, Agnes Paul is averaging 8.9 points and 6.2 rebounds while Jordyn Brown is averaging 8.4 points per game.

MSU DENVER HEADING INTO THE WEEK  | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Roadrunners won a trio of games this past week to move their win streak to five games, beating No. 22 Colorado Mesa 76-62 on the road Friday, CSU Pueblo 84-74 in double overtime on Tuesday and at Adams State 64-58 on Wednesday.

 Allie Navarette leads MSU Denver in scoring at 14.1 points to go along with a team-best 8.2 rebounds per game. Jaela Richardson is averaging 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while Morgan Griego is averaging 9.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
