RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team were tied heading into the fourth but fell to South Dakota Mines 69-57 Friday night at King Center.
The Cowgirls (4-15 overall, 1-12 RMAC) and Hardrockers (2-17, 2-11) were tied at 50 heading into the fourth quarter before Mines drained five 3-pointers in the final period to help outscore NMHUÂ 27-15 in the fourth quarter.
Jordyn Lewis led the Cowgirls with 16 points - going 4-for-6 from 3-point range - while
Maiah Rivas added 10 points and
Sana'a Baker had 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
NMHU returns to action next Friday at Fort Lewis.
