Cowgirls WIN!

First win of the year comes at home against Black Hills State University

N.M. Highlands vs Black Hills State University.
10/09/2022 Sanchez Family Stadium, Las Vegas, NM

Las Vegas, NM – The Cowgirls break a 366 day winless streak!

When asked about the winless year Coach Bianca Edwards had this to say

366 days is crazy, but these girls worked hard for this. They definitely put a lot of effort and love and fight into it for each other and they left it all out here on the field. These girls like I said, put everything out there, for a lot of these freshmen this is their first win at the collegiate level, and it just gets better from here. The morale we're going to keep it going we're going to keep the hype we're just going to keep working to get better. We just got to make sure we come out ready to go and make sure our practices are geared towards how we're going to win these next few games, but the momentum could definitely go as long as we're willing to push out at the effort.

Shout out to the shutout
Isabella Ortiz only had a one word response on how she felt after her first collegiate win between the pipes.

GREAT!

Friday 10.07.22 at Sanchez Family Stadium

12:00 PM— A well played game between two teams that are looking to finish strong in the RMAC. The Cowgirls pushed heavily in the first 20 minutes of the match up and were able to counter the Yellow Jackets in the mid 30 minute push of the end of the first half and start of the second half.

20 is 1 – Celeste Dominguez scored her first goal of her collegiate career and game winner for the Cowgirls first win of the season.
