COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowgirls will be looking for their seventh win of the season this weekend, which would be the most since the 2013-14 team went 12-14. Their six wins is the most since going 6-20 during the 2014-15 season.
NMHUÂ dropped a pair of games this past weekend on the road, falling at MSU Denver 88-51 on Friday and at Colorado Christian 74-58 on Saturday.
Jordyn Lewis leads the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game followed by
Maiah Rivas (8.3) and
Sana'a Baker (7.9). Baker leads the team and is third in the RMAC in blocked shots per game at 1.7 while adding 4.1 rebounds per game. Rivas leads the team at 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game while
Aja Scott is averaging a Cowgirl-best 4.9 rebounds.
UCCS HEADING INTO THE WEEKÂ | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cougars have won three in a row to sit in a tie for seventh in the RMACÂ - good for a spot in the postseason tournament. UCCS beat Colorado Christian on Friday 72-51 on the road before edging MSU Denver on the road Saturday in overtime, 82-78.
Jasmine Jeffcoat leads the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game while grabbing 4.8 rebounds for a team that has 10 players averaging 16.5 minutes or more per game (Jeffcoat is averaging 16.5 minutes per game). Shelby Megyeri is averaging 8.7 points. Maison White leads thet eam at 4.9 rebounds per game, Sophie Abela averages a team-best 2.9 assists and Agar Farres leads the team at 1.3 steals per contest.
