Cowgirls Outlast Western Colorado Mountaineers

1.12.23-  The past two weeks the Cowgirls have shown they know how to win. In another game coming down to the last moments the Cowgirls come out victorious. Late in this contest Juliana Aragon hit a big layup plus the foul to break a 49-49 tie. From that moment the Cowgirls held on to the lead to close this one out 54-49. Although the Cowgirls did not outshoot their opponent from deep in totals, they shot a higher percentage. The Cowgirls were 7-25 from deep while the Mountaineers were 8-28. This differential is much closer than it has been in the past. The Cowgirls are a team that will typically win a game if they hit anywhere near the amount of deep shots as their opponent. Krystina Hagood was a player mentioned on the radar before the game and that prediction became true. Hagood was 4-9 from deep and finished with 12 points. Juliana Aragon was also listed as a player to watch and she also did not disappoint. Juliana scored a game high 17 points on 54% from the field. Aragon also hit a three of her own as well. Neysa Manguia is also a name that is well deserved to be mentioned. Neysa had a game high three blocks and also brought in 10 rebounds as well. This game tested the composure of the girls, however they proved once again that pressure makes diamonds.

Black Hills Travels Into Town-
