Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Isaiah Johnson

Cowgirls Lose at Buzzer

Denver, Co- The Cowgirls stormed back in the 3rd quarter resulting in a back and forth nailbiting finish. The Cowgirls lost as Regis connected on a mid range baseline bucket with time expiring. A strong second half effort for the Cowgirls results in a loss. Despite the loss, there are bright spots to highlight from Saturday's game. The Cowgirls received high point production from multiple players on Saturday Afternoon. Juliana Aragon led all players with 23 points. Neysa Munguia lead the 3rd quarter surge which allowed the Cowgirls to overcome an 11 point halftime deficit. Munguia connected on 7 of her 10 shots and also brought in 10 rebounds and five blocks. The Cowgirls will be a very tough team to beat if Munguia can continue to be a force on both sides of the court. Despite a slower shooting night, Krystina Hagood continues to find ways to be effective on the court. Hagood led both teams in rebounds and also registered a steal.
