Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands suffered a loss to the Regis Rangers with the final score ending 9-2. With the loss the Cowgirls record goes to 0-8-2 (0-4-1 RMAC)., Regis who was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Top 25 poll record improves to 8-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in RMAC play.
Regis started ahead and stayed ahead but the Cowgirls would not go away quietly. Izzie Scott and Acacia Rodriguez both had goals for the Cowgirls. Kaylee Castaño recorded an assist on the Rodriguez goal which made it Castaño's third consecutive game with a point.
The Cowgirls look to bounce back on October 12th at 1 PM (MST)Â as they hit the road for one game next week against the Metro State Roadrunners that game can be streamed on the RMAC Network.
