Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands soccer team opens the 2023 RMAC season on Friday afternoon by hosting Colorado Mesa University. Match time at Sanchez family Stadium is 3:00 pm.
The Cowgirls are 0-3-1 on the season having played all four matches away from home to start the season. NMHU played a pair of matches against Lone Star Conference teams, Eastern New Mexico and Lubbock Christian, as well as matches at Great American Conference foes, Northwestern Oklahoma State and Bethany Nazarene.
Colorado Mesa University heads to Las Vegas at 5-0-0 on the season. The Mavericks are ranked 5th in this week's United Soccer Coaches national poll. CMU holds a 23-10-5 record in the all-time series history against NMHU.
On Sunday Westminster College is in Las Vegas for a 1:00 pm match with the Cowgirls at Sanchez Family Stadium.
The Griffins are 2-2-1 to start the season and will play at Adams State University on Friday afternoon before heading to NMHU. In a series that dates back to 2016, Westminster is 6-1-0 in the previous seven matchup against the Cowgirls.
