Las Vegas, New Mexico -The Cowgirls lost their second game of the week to the Eagles of Northern New Mexico.
Kapiolani Anitelu led the way for the Cowgirls with a career-high 18 points, including a heave from beyond the arc to put the Cowgirls down, but the Eagles would prevail 63-61.
Turnovers were the Cowgirls' Achilles heel in this one, as they turned the ball over more times than the Eagles.
Caitlin Turnbow also had a career-high tonight for the Cowgirls in points, with 13 points for the freshman out of Las Cruces.
The Cowgirls are back in action. On Saturday at 2:00 p.m., as they head to El Paso for an exhibition match against the University of Texas -Â El Paso (UTEP).
