Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls are back on the road this weekend for games at Chadron State and Colorado Christian.
Friday evening NMHU is in Nebraska to face Chadron State at 5:30 pm. This is the second meeting of the year between the two teams with the Cowgirls handing the Eagles a 60-47 defeat in early December. Ashayla Powers leads the Eagles in scoring (11.3 points per game) and rebounding (5.9 per game). Chadron State is 6-14 overall and 4-12 in conference play.
On Saturday evening at 5:00 pm the Cowgirls head to Lakerwood, Colorado for a 5:00 pm match-up with Colorado Christian. NMHU edged the Eagles 74-73 in Las Vegas as
Juliana Aragon scored the winning bucket with just two seconds remaining in the game. The Cougars are 13-9 overall and 9-7 in the RMAC. Maggie Hutka leads Colorado Christian scoring 20.4 points per game.
The Cowgirls are 4-18 overall and 3-13 in the RMAC heading in to play this weekend. Sophomore
Juliana Aragon is the team's leading scorer at 11.7 per game.
Delani Harris averages 9.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and has recorded three double-doubles this season.
Neysa Munguia is fifth in the RMAC with 1.3 blocks per game.
After this weekend's games, the Cowgirls play the final home games of the 2023-24 season next weekend hosting Colorado Mesa and Westminster.
