Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls are back home for the final time this season as they host Colorado Mesa and Westminster. Tip time for both games is 5:00 pm in the Wilson Complex.
The Mavericks enter play on Friday at 20-5 overall and 14-4 in RMAC. Sophomore Olivia Reed leads Colorado Mesa with 16.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. The Mavericks defeated the Cowgirls 70-34 in early January.
Saturday night is Senior Night as the Cowgirls host Westminster. The Griffins are 3-21 overall and 1-17 in conference play. Teuila Nawahine is the top scorer for Westeminster at 11.9 points per game. Maunayia Harrigfeld is the top rebounder at 8.9 per game. The Cowgirls topped Westminster by a 59-49 count in Salt Lake City on January 5th.
The Cowgirls enter play at 5-19 overall and 4-14 in the RMAC. They split their road two games last weekend winning at Chadron State before losing to Colorado Christian. Sophomore
Juliana Aragon leads the Cowgirls in scoring (12.0 points per game) and assists (3.2 per game).
Delani Harris and
Neysa Munguia both average 6.0 rebounds per game to lead NMHU. Munguia averages 1.2 blocks per game which is 5th best in the RMAC.
Saturday night is the Community Game sponsored by Quality Care of Las Vegas and features free admission.
