Cowboys Release 2025 Schedule

Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands University announced its 2025 football schedule this afternoon, this season's schedule features five home games and six road contests.

"Everyone has been putting in the work this spring to get ready for the upcoming season," said second year head coach Kurt Taufa'asau. "It's important for us to keep the games with Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico on the schedule and the RMAC is one of the toughest conferences in Division II. We know we have to be ready every week."

The Cowboys open the 2025 season with a Week 0 game in Portales against Eastern New Mexico on August 28th at 6:00 pm.

Following a seventeen day break, the 2025 edition of La Batalla Bowl will be played when Western New Mexico visits historic Las Vegas for a 1:00 pm game on September 13th.

Homecoming is the following Saturday, September 20th, when the Cowboys entertain South Dakota Mines at 1:00 pm.

The remaining home games are against Colorado State - Pueblo (October 4th), Colorado Mesa (October 18th), and Fort Lewis (November 8th). Kick-off for each of those contests is at 1:00 pm.

Road contests are at Western Colorado (September 27th), Chadron State (October 11th), Adams State (October 25th), Colorado School of Mines (November 1st), and Black Hills State (November 15th). Game times for these games will be updated as they become available at NMHUAthletics.com.

Ten of this year's eleven games will be broadcast on the RMAC Network.
