Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands University Athletics has announced that tailgate passes for the 2026 Cowboy football season are now on sale.
Tailgate passes are available for all five home games at Sanchez Family Stadium, beginning with the season opener on Thursday, August 27th, when the Cowboys host in-state rival Eastern New Mexico. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
The tailgate parking lot will open three hours prior to kickoff for each home game. Fans purchasing a tailgate pass are reminded that a tailgate pass does not include admission to the game. A separate game ticket must be purchased to enter Sanchez Family Stadium.
The Cowboys' 2026 home schedule includes:
Aug. 27 – Eastern New Mexico (6:00 p.m.)
Sept. 19 – Black Hills State (12:00 p.m.)
Oct. 3 – Western Colorado (6:00 p.m.) – Homecoming
Oct. 24 – Chadron State (12:00 p.m.)
Nov. 7 – Adams State (12:00 p.m.) – Senior Day
Fans planning to tailgate during the 2026 season are encouraged to purchase their passes in advance and be part of the game-day atmosphere at Sanchez Family Stadium.
