FRESHMAN (2018): Played in seven games for the Cowgirls, including three starts. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterman at Vista High School (Vista, California) and coach Hector Prado … Was named team MVP her senior year and team defensive player of the year her junior season … Helped the Panthers to the CIF three times … Also a four-year letterman in track and went to the CIFs two times in the 4x400 … Lettered in football and was the kicker for the varsity football team. 
 
PERSONAL: Daughter of Gilbert and Teri Asperin … Has three siblings (Hide, Terumi and Tamiko) … Born in San Diego, California … Majoring in Human and Health Sciences … Enjoys spending time at the beach or one her favorite California food locations with friends and family … Second person in her family to go to school for a sport … Chose NMHU because: “When I started being recruited by them, I did a lot of research and found that they offer so much more than I thought. The location was just far enough from home and they offered the classes I wanted to take – and of course they were going to offer me a scholarship to play my favorite sport.”

Personal Accomplishments/Awards in Soccer*
Competed in club soccer from the age of 7. Competed for the Elite Teams for around 4 years and moved to play Development Academy for about 2 years. Won MVP senior year and defensive player of the year junior year. Helped the Vista High School Panthers make it to CIF for three years for soccer and four years for track in the 4x400. Lettered in football and was the kicker for the varsity football team.

Everything happens for a reason. You are who you are today because of the good and bad.

If you are ever having a bad game or practice, and you can’t get out of that headspace, remember why you started playing.
