Alfred Rowe is entering his fourth season at New Mexico Highlands as the linebacker coach. During his time at NMHU, Rowe has coached two All-RMAC players, Don Carter (2015) and Eric Smith (2016). The latter lead the conference in tackles during the 2016 season.
Rowe played at the historic Long Beach Polytechnic High School where he was named the 2005 Moore League Defensive Player of the Year. Rowe went on to play for USC under head coach Pete Carroll (Seattle Seahawks). Rowe played in the 2007 and 2008 Rose Bowls, in which the Trojans came out victorious both times. Rowe was named to the 2007 Pac-10 First Team - Special Teams.
Rowe began his coaching career in 2011 and previously coached at Long Beach Wilson High School, Long Beach Cabrillo High School and Long Beach City College before joining the staff at New Mexico Highlands in 2015.
Rowe is from Los Angeles, California, and has a son, Colton “Bubba” Rowe (3).
