Casey McWethy enters his second season as the defensive backs coach for the New Mexico Highlands football team.

McWethy spent the 2016 season at Bryant University as the assistant linebackers coach/quality control. In 2015, he was the defensive coordinator at St. Johns High School. In 2014, he served as the defensive coordinator at James Island Christian School (SC) and in 2013 was a student assistant at The Citadel.

Before McWethy started his coaching career, he served as a Marine from 2005-09. McWethy graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in physical education and minor in history.
