Joe Fine begins his second season as the running back and tight end coach for the New Mexico Highlands football program while beginning his first as the Cowboys' special teams coordinator.

This will be Fine's first full-time coaching job as he just completed his playing career at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Fine was a tight end at Bryant where he played in 35 games, including 22 consecutive starts. He finished his career with 20 catches for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
 
Fine was named All-NEC Academic three times, was a member of the National Historical Honors Society along with the National Sociology Honors Society and finished with a 3.45 GPA.
