Coach Steven Jerry is the new Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach here at New Mexico Highlands University.  Prior to coming to NMHU, Coach Jerry worked at North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee for 3 years, where he coached quarterbacks and track & field.  Before NFC Coach Jerry wore several hats at Florida A&M University on two different staffs. He worked for coach Joe Taylor as the Quarterbacks and Wide Receiver Coach.  He then worked for coach Alex Wood as the Running Backs coach and the Wide Receiver Coach.  Jerry came to William and Mary from Virginia State, where he served as?Quarterbacks Coach. While at Virginia State, Jerry was also the head coach of a pair of ArenaFootball2 Squads, the Greensboro Prowlers and the Roanoke Steam.  Jerry served as the tight ends coach at East Tennessee State for the 2001 season.

Jerry was no stranger to the Williamsburg campus, as he spent the 2000 season at the College serving as the program's Offensive Assistant. From January 1997 until early in 2000, Jerry served in multiple capacities at Central Florida, working as a Tight Ends Coach, an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, and an Assistant Track & Field Coach. He also has collegiate experience at Sienna College and his alma mater, the University of North Carolina. 

Jerry was an Assistant Strength Coach at UNC in the summer of 1994.  A 1994 graduate of UNC, Jerry received his Bachelor's Degrees in both Sociology and Communications while playing football for the Tar Heels.
