Thomas Pool begins his second year with New Mexico Highlands in 2015-2016 after spending the 2014-2015 season as an assistant coach with the New Mexico Highlands women's basketball staff.
In the spring of 2015, he took on a greatter role of working with video in the athletic department, helping to produce baseball and softball games. His work was featured on Football Scoop as Video of the Day for the Mic'd up video of new Head Football Coach Jeff Mills at spring practice and video he shot during the 2015 RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships was used by KRQE out of Albuquerque in an interview with Head Track and Field Coach Bob DeVries in the summer of 2015.
In 2014, Pool graduated from Murray State University with a degree in interdisciplinary studies with and emphasis in health and exercise studies. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in Sports Administration at New Mexico Highlands.

For five seasons (2009-2014), Pool was the head manager for the Racers women's basketball team. He helped to execute the filming and tagging of games and providing game day film highlights. Pool also managed all aspects of practice and game day preparations.
