Before NMHU: Comes to NMHU from the University of New Mexico…2022 graduate of Albuquerque's Volcano Vista High School where she played for Coach Lisa Villareal…Helped team to back-to-back state championships…Named 2019 and 2022 Female Athlete of the Year…1,000 point scorer at Volcano Vista…Earned a host of honors as a prep including All-State, All-Metro, and All-District.

Personal:  Daughter of Barry and Juliet Bates...Sister to Janeé and James...Nephew is Dyami.

Why I Chose NMHU:  I decided to come back to school because I really trusted the people around me who’ve always had my back. My mentors reminded me of my worth and helped me believe in myself again. New Mexico has always felt like home—the love and support here make it the right place for me to grow and keep pushing forward.
