Amanda Evans was named the head women's soccer coach at New Mexico Highlands University on March 14th, 2024.

On September 5th, 2024, Evans earned her first win at the helm of the Cowgirls with a 1-0 defeat of Sul Ross State in Las Vegas.

Evans comes to NMHU after spending the past six seasons at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia. Prior to her tenure at MBU, she was the head coach of Compton College (CA) from 2014-2018, and the head coach of Northland College (WI) from 2011-2013. Coach Evans started the Women's Soccer program at Salt Lake Community College in 2009.

The Wisconsin native holds a premier diploma from United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA). She played at collegiately at Hawaii Pacific University and had semi-pro training in Utah. She earned a master of science in special education at Western Governors University and a bachelor’s in exercise and sports science and teaching physical education at the University of Utah.

Coach Evans is a nationally recognized coach who has twice presented at the United Soccer Convention and she is the co-founder of #MomsWhoCoach group.
